That single observation in a therapy room became InnerVoice. Then EASI. Then eleven federal grants and thousands of families served. iTherapy is what happens when practicing clinicians build what the field actually needs.

iTherapy is a speech pathology corporation founded in 2012 by two practicing clinicians who saw problems in their field and decided to solve them. We are not a tech startup that read some papers about speech therapy. We are not a clinical practice that bought some software. We are practicing clinicians who build technology and use it every day with real children and families.

A Clinical Practice

A Clinical Practice

We provide direct speech-language pathology services to children and families across California. This is not a legacy business we are trying to phase out. It is half of our identity and the proving ground for everything we build.

A Technology Company

A Technology Company

We create tools that address real problems we experienced as clinicians. EASI exists because we spent too many weekends writing reports. InnerVoice exists because we saw a child learn in a new way and wondered if we could scale that discovery.

A Community Voice

A Community Voice

We publish Autism Digest, a magazine written by and for the autism community. We employ autistic team members and work with autistic consultants. This is not corporate social responsibility. It is how we believe good work gets done.

This combination is rare. It is the heart of who we are.

Whatwebelieve

These are not corporate values written by a marketing team. They are the principles that guide every decision we make.

Human connection through communication is fundamental

The ability to express oneself, to be understood, to participate in the world of language is not a luxury. It is a human right. Everything we build serves this belief.

Technology should augment expertise, never replace judgment

Our tools make clinicians more effective, not less necessary. Every workflow we design keeps the human at the center. AI assists. Clinicians decide.

Products for autistic people must be built with autistic people

Nothing about us without us is not a slogan for us. It is practice. Autistic collaborators, autistic employees, and autistic voices shape everything we create for the autism community.

Clinical services and technology development strengthen each other

We do not build in isolation and then hope our tools work. We build, we use, we learn, we improve. Our clinical practice is our laboratory. Our technology makes our practice better.

Half of Who We Are

ClinicalServices

We are a licensed Non-Public Agency in California, providing speech-language pathology services since 2012. This is not a legacy business. It is half of our identity and the proving ground for everything we build.

Whatwebuild

These products demonstrate our capabilities. Each has its own dedicated website. Here we introduce them and show how they connect to who we are.

VAST

Video-Assisted Speech Therapy

VAST

VAST harnesses the power of video self-modeling to help individuals with autism and apraxia learn to speak. When we discovered that a child could learn by imitating himself rather than the therapist, everything changed. This discovery became the foundation for all our technology and the origin of iTherapy.

NIH Research Finding

In our NIH-funded VAST study, children with autism showed measurable improvements in articulation accuracy, vocabulary diversity, and communication responses over seven weeks. Parents in both groups reported positive changes in their children's speech and social communication skills, with tablet-based delivery consistently outperforming VR.

From a single observation in a therapy room to an integrated clinical platform serving thousands. Thirteen years of solving real problems, one breakthrough at a time.

The Discovery

Two SLPs at a non-public school discovered that a child with echolalia could learn by imitating himself rather than the therapist. Using Motion Portrait, we created something unprecedented that would change everything.

Mensa Recognition

This insight won the Mensa Foundation's Intellectual Benefit to Society Award. Motion Portrait agreed to build the first version of InnerVoice, turning a therapeutic observation into real technology.
